Last week I attended the Digital Workplace Conference in Sydney, Australia. This event was previously known as the Australian SharePoint Conference, and I last presented there in 2013. A lot has changed since then, and so has the nature of the conference – transitioning beyond merely a product to more about how we work and the technologies we use.
It was good to catch up with some friends from abroad as well as meeting new people – both speakers and attendees. While there I did some live broadcasts on Periscope as well as participating in a podcast with Christian Buckley and webcast with Darrell Webster (filmed at the same time!).
I found the Thought Leadership track to be most useful and sat in the following sessions (in order of attendance):
Oscar Trimboli: Deep Listening – How to Have an Impact Beyond Words
Sue Hanley: Transform Knowledge Management and Collaboration with Office 365
Bryan Whitefield: Experts Need Advocates – Building Tribes to Ramp up Change
James Robertson: Put the Employee Experience at the Heart of the Digital Workplace
Cairo Walker: Where’s my Desk? Office Relocations, Activity-based Working and the Digital Workplace
Liz Coup: Sowing the Seeds of Change: Supporting People to Embrace Technology
And lastly my own session which was in the Productivity stream. You can find the Twitter feed that followed along with my presentation here:
There’s a “storified” version which makes it a bit easier to follow along: https://storify.com/nickyhw/dwcau-2017-02
And finally, a link to my slide deck. However take note, this slide deck is largely pictures and unfortunately the session wasn’t recorded so there’s not much context for the content, but you should still find some nuggets in there. https://www.slideshare.net/secret/IbhPIpT6ytZPjB
