Microsoft quietly released an update to its Active Directory synchronization (DirSync) “virtual appliance” today – and now supports installations on domain controllers.
This has long been an issue for smaller organisations that didn’t have a server to spare for running DirSync on.

NOTE: According to the Microsoft documentation this can only be done for development purposes. I am yet to ascertain from Microsoft whether this means customers who do this in production are supported or not.

DirSync Downloaded from the link but cannot be installed. I am getting same error, “cannot run on domain controller”.
I am using Server 2012 Standard with AD DS and AD FS Installed.
Anyone can confirm if it is working on Server 2012 DC?
The build was pulled and then replaced with a build that is supported in production. I have got it installed on a Windows Server 2012 R2 DC.
