The changing cloud conversation

Having been in the cloud game for over 2.5 years now I’m starting to see a dramatic (dare I say “paradigm”) shift in conversations with prospective customers.

In the early days of BPOS and Office 365 most questions were about “why cloud” and “why Microsoft”. This has changed considerably over the past year with most conversations being about when customers will move to the cloud.

As my focus is predominantly around Office 365 there is still a bit of “why Microsoft” but it is very few and far between.

From a sales perspective this makes life much easier, but as a cloud evangelist and early adopter it’s great to see the market reach maturity and mass adoption kick in.
