It would come as no surprise that I have a Windows Phone, and absolutely love it.
What really appeals to me is the dynamic nature of the live tiles, and the extremely strong integration that Microsoft has with its own products as well as 3rd party apps and social networks.
A key strength of Microsoft is its breadth of products and the tight integration between them.
With the purchase of Skype last year we had some ideas of what Microsoft might integrate it with – however with last weeks announcement of Windows Phone 8 we are really starting to see that integration come to fruition. The screenshot of a Skype user calling a Windows Phone looking just like a normal phone call absolutely amazed me.
In order for enterprises to warm up to adopting the notion of Windows Phone as a corporate platform I believe there needs to be tighter integration with Lync from a voice perspective.
