Data sovereignty as a cover for cloud fear

Having been focused on delivering cloud solutions for almost 3 years the “data sovereignty” reason/concern/excuse is one that I have heard many times as a barrier to cloud adoption.

As a partner – nothing helps sell more than customer references or anecdotal evidence.

This morning I had an extremely large smile on my face when I read the CIO of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (one of our big four banks) dismissing data sovereignty concerns – read it here at Computerworld.

Recently I wrote an article for Dynamic Business about the case against cloud privacy from an Australian standpoint and misconceptions around the US Patriot Act.

Soon I will be publishing a whitepaper which builds on my article in the new whitepapers section of my site – keep watching.
