It’s been coming for some time, and asked about for even longer.
I’ve posted about this coming previously and while Microsoft teased us with generic dates of “first half of 2015”, then “sometime in March” we’re now at the last day and I can finally share that Office 365 is officially running out of Australian datacentres.
At Paradyne we’re excited by this as we have a number of customers and projects that have been waiting for the switch to be flicked before they can deploy. Most of these deal in the public sector and have been reluctant to utilise the offshore datacentres for compliance, regulatory or legislative reason

Finally !!!
Been keeping an eye on this, it’s really going to help drive Office365 now in Australia. I personally know some businesses that considered it, but didn’t move due to them wanting to have the data located in their own country.
