The Office 365 Mobile Admin app is no more

A few days ago I received a letter from Microsoft legal to say that my Xstran Office 365 Mobile Admin app for Windows Phone will be removed from the market due to a “Content Infringement Complaint”.

In essence it is because the application contains the trademarked name “Office 365” (despite the fact that the trademark was actually registered on August 7, 2012 – 6 months after my app was published).

I have decided that I will not bother renaming and submitting the application back to the store because despite the amount of money and time invested into the app I never made a cent from it, and it has served it’s purpose in filling a hole that Microsoft had in mobile administration of Office 365. That is no longer required from 3rd party solutions.

Thank you for those who supported it.
