In my laziness to summarise what was in my head that had somehow turned into an app, I handed the whole thing to Google Gemini and NotebookLM and asked them to make something of it. (Copilot wouldn’t let me create anything that came from external content.)
First, the one that made me laugh
If I’d set out to make something that laughs at AI and at tech, I would have made this. I mean it — listen to it, and if you’re a Rick and Morty fan you can picture the whole thing.
But I didn’t ask for it as a joke. It was serious.
Like… what?!
And then some half-decent content
This one-page summary came out of the same batch, and it’s the graphic that sat at the top of the Station page all winter:

A note on dates, because these are museum pieces now
Everything on this page was generated on 8 July 2026 from what Station was at the time, and I’ve deliberately left it exactly as it was. It’s a snapshot of a machine’s read of my machine.
Which means it’s now wrong in some genuinely interesting ways. Since these were made, Station has gained a whole wellbeing dimension, a homelab menu of its own, work projects, an overnight thinker, and a full visual redesign — and it has started shipping its own code. None of that is in the slides, and the friendly voices in the audio describe navigation that no longer exists.
